TAPSIGNAGE HELP
Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers about setup, publishing, scheduling, devices, offline playback, and plans.
How do I connect my first screen?
Download the TapSignage Manager app on your phone. On your TV or playback device, download the free TapSignage Player app from its app store. Open the Player to display a QR code, then scan it with Manager to link the screen.
Which devices are supported?
TapSignage works best on compatible Android TV and Google TV hardware, including Google TV Streamer and selected onn. devices. Chromecast can publish and, on supported setups, cache content after initial setup. Fire TV Stick can play content but does not support a TapSignage launcher, so the app must be opened manually. Amazon Signage Stick requires TapSignage to become an approved Amazon CMS partner. Roku is in development. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS compatibility is TBD by exact display model.
For the best compatibility and larger playlists, choose a device with more RAM and free storage—such as Google TV Streamer or onn. 4K Pro—and test the exact model before deployment.
See supported devicesCan content play without Wi-Fi?
Supported players can continue showing content cached locally after the initial sync. They need a connection to receive the first upload and future changes. Offline capacity depends on free local storage, video size, codec, and the device.
Can I schedule content?
Yes. Schedule playlists to change automatically on specific days and times—for example Taco Tuesday, special events, weekend promotions, or opening hours.
Why is my screen not updating?
Make sure the Player app is open, the screen is linked, the playlist is assigned, and the device is online. Reconnect supported players so pending changes can sync.
What do the plans cost?
See the current plans and screen limits in the Pricing section.
